My Story

My name is Mila Baity, I am a Junior at Walnut Grove High School. My love for basketball started through my parents always being willing to coach me and work on my skills. Basketball has helped me grow in so many ways, and I have really learned a lot. I have improved my communication, how responsible I am, my dedication, perseverance, leadership, and my confidence. The game of basketball changed my life, and I continue to strive to be both a better player and a better person. While there were many obstacles, I decided that basketball is something that I really love. And even through hardships, I want to keep playing because I still have a lot to learn, and the players and coaches supporting me have helped make the game fun.

I have a 4.0 GPA, and I work hard to push and do well in all my classes. I am currently taking Honors Algebra 2 and Physics, which are my hardest classes, and maintaining an A in both. I take the values I have learned on the court and apply them to what I do off the court. I have always taken pride in my grades, and I am always looking to improve; not just in the classroom but for basketball as well. One thing I really love about the game is that you can always find something to work on. There’s never a time when you can say you have nothing else you can improve. God has given me the talent and ability to play this game, and I am grateful and blessed. I work hard for Him.
